What they do:
The Bridge works to reduce inequalities in health and wellbeing, working with women to help them make positive life choices. They do this through a range of projects that support women who live and work in London, including RISE, their ongoing mental wellbeing programme; Life, which is a 12-week project that offers wellbeing, movement and creative workshops; and Fridge, which offers fresh fruit, vegetables and other food items to people who need it. All of their projects are driven by the community who use their space, and they shape all of the programs and projects the charity runs. They also have a gym and café that nurture supportive and inclusive environments that work closely alongside all of their projects.
How you can help:
- Regular/ongoing volunteering
- Fundraising
- Skills sharing
- Resource sharing
The Bridge welcomes volunteers to help with their programs and services. Some of the ways that you can help include assisting with the healthy food provision support, supporting women during gym sessions, and helping to run the café. They are also looking for volunteers who can share their skills with them, for example helping with marketing and communications, fundraising, and events planning.
The Bridge is always open to new ideas and initiatives, so if someone has a particular skill or idea that they think could benefit The Bridge and the women they support, they are happy to hear from you.
