A hidden alley behind Southwark Street is transformed into lush rain garden with a mysterious artwork keeping watch.

Ewer Street's histories including a hidden mediaeval burial ground are revealed in this sensitive upgrade to one of Bankside's oldest streets.
Union Street Long Bed
The Union Street bed is a beautiful focal point on Union street with beautiful bulbs in the summer and greenery through the seasons.
Webber Street

The Hope Exchange
This space was refurbished in 2021 to reflect the LGBTQ+ community in bankside. The tree planters and benches create a place for gathering and rest on the otherwise very busy Southwark Street.
Hatfields
These lovely beds compliment the small park across the street, and make a walk down Hatfields feel like a walk in nature.
Mermaid Court
As part of improvements to Mermaid Court – Better Bankside has partnered with the businesses on Mermaid Court to introduce window boxes to add green and vibrancy to the historic side street off of Borough High Street.
Ewer Street planters
Better Bankside has added some greenery on Ewer Street, outside of the Better Bankside Sustainability Hub. These planters were created with left over materials from out arch-fit out.
Great Suffolk Street: ‘Circus of Tulips’
